Luxury Accommodation

The accommodation is a beautiful five bedroom property provided by Rhosneigr Holiday Lettings. It’s the perfect base for a swimming holiday, being just five minutes’ walk from Rhosneigr’s sandy beaches.

The house is furnished to a high standard throughout and features both twin and double rooms, making it ideal either for couples or friends. Set over two floors, the house and gardens are spacious enough for you to socialise with the group or settle down and relax on your own.

The property also features a large garden where we set up our five metre canvas bell-tent which provides a wonderful outdoor area to relax in the open air.  The tent often comes with us on days at the beach, to provide a welcome and convenient home from home.

Amazing Adventures

Fantastic Swimming: We are passionate about swimming outdoors in North Wales and we love taking our guests off the beaten path to our favourite swimming spots.  Being based on Anglesey, our Pleasure of Adventure holidays provide almost limitless opportunities for exhilarating coastal swims, while the majestic lakes of nearby Snowdonia offer a more tranquil experience.

This allows us to tailor each swim so you can dip, explore, or cover as much or as little distance as you wish. We also keep our groups small, usually just seven guests, so that we can offer you an individual and truly personal holiday.

Pleasure of Adventure holidays also give you the opportunity to combine outdoor swimming with either of the following activities.

Yoga: Our Swimming & Yoga holidays place equal emphasis on each activity and include two daily yoga practices to complement our swims.

Guests who are familiar with either activity will find these holidays an ideal introduction to the other. Both activities are great ways to invigorate or relax your mind and body, depending on your own personal goals.  Anglesey also provides a wonderful variety of stunning locations for outdoor yoga practice, ranging from sun-kissed beaches to cool pine forests.

Our yoga instructor, Juli, trained with British Wheel of Yoga and has been teaching for 16 years.  She caters for beginners and advanced clients alike, encouraging you to listen to your body and ease gently into flexibility and release.

She is also a qualified masseuse with 25 years of experience - a massage is the perfect indulgence to accompany a weekend of swimming and yoga, and to help you de-stress completely. (Massages are priced at £40 per hour and should be booked in advance).

Stand-Up Paddle-boarding (SUP): On our Swimming & SUP holidays, one day is spent teaming up with Anglesey Outdoors to take you on an adventure which combines swimming and stand-up paddle-boarding.

We’ll travel 4.5km with the tide, along some of Anglesey’s hidden coastline, where you can choose to swim or paddle, or do a little of each. Confident and competent stand-up paddle-boarders can paddle solo, and if you’re new to SUP you can take the huge six-person paddle-board to share the experience with the other guests.

Our final destination will be a beautiful uninhabited island, where we provide you with a hot picnic lunch. We’ll then make a short hop back to the mainland before rounding the day off at a nearby beach.

Safety & Support: Our expert guides will always be on hand to keep you safe and to provide all the support you need.  Both on land and in the water, they will enhance your experience through their passion for the outdoors and their local knowledge, whether pointing out some seals dozing on the rocks or sharing some interesting local history.

Show-stopping Food & Drink

At Gone Swimming we have built a strong reputation for making great food a real focus of our outdoor swimming holidays.  Over the years we have learned that our home-cooked meals are just as important to our guests as venturing off to swim in beautiful locations – swimming is hungry work!

Our ‘Pleasure of Adventure’ holidays allow us to take our food and drink one step further, and showcase the fantastic produce North Wales has to offer, such as mouth-watering ‘salt marsh’ lamb or creamy goats cheese from Anglesey, or delicate mussels from the Menai strait.  These fantastic ingredients give you a real taste of the local area, and allow Gabby to put her years of culinary training and experience to full use, by creating memorable meals that are far more than just fuel for your next swim!

Pleasure of Adventure holidays include four meals each day, all prepared fresh and by hand:

  • Each morning, you can choose from a full cooked breakfat or a lighter breakfast of porridge, toast, cereals and fruit.
  • Once we’re at our first swim spot we'll provide you with elevenses – usually a home-made snack such as tortilla, sausage roll or vegetable fritters.
  • Your first swim will help you work up an appetite for a picniclunch of sandwiches and home-made soup, followed by plenty of tea, cake and biscuits.
  • After some more fresh air and great swimming we'll head home so you can shower and relax before enjoying some Prosecco, canapés and a delicious three-course dinner.
  • Throughout the day, cake and hot drinks will always be close to hand - many of our guests swim with us time and time again, saying they first came for the swimming, but they came back for the cake!
